Côté , 2016 ). As such , self-reflection using video feedback can offer a window for a coach to see and hear what they do within a training session or match . This is in contrast to reflective activities based on a coach ’ s personal reflections on how they behaved or a mentor ’ s interpretation / observation of what was done . In doing so a coach “ holds up a mirror ” to allow them to begin to understand their coaching . This comes with a word of warning though , as the first time watching the video playback won ’ t be easy or comfortable viewing , as there will be something that you say , or do , or show , a habit you are unaware
